4000 students from 40 different countries recently converged on Kuala Lumpur for the Global Round of the World Scholar's Cup. Competing in the event for the very first time this year, CAC was represented by 14 students who spent the week debating, writing and completing academic challenges relating to this year's curriculum theme - An Entangled World. The teams worked really hard to prepare for the event and their dedication paid off with some fantastic results. Dalia, Yomna and Noor were named the Champion Team from the entire Middle East region and were the sixth placed team globally! Dalia was also CAC's highest scoring scholar and was ranked 14th Champion Scholar overall. In a field of over 2000 of the most competitive scholars in the world, this is a phenomenal achievement. Anastasia was ranked 21st for debate and Yasmeen was 19th for the overall Scholar's Challenge. There were lots of other awards and highlights, with every member of our CAC team winning medals and an invitation to the Tournament of Champions at Yale University. Well done to all our CAC Scholars!
